Snapped these quickly with the iPhone this evening while watering after work. What a gorgeous evening. I just love this time of year with tomatoes ripening by the dozen, pumpkins almost ready, sunflowers following the sun with their faces, apples and pears looking oh so delicious.

I am one lucky girl. I have a friend in London that sends me the best, most gorgeous packages. The wrapping is a work of art....hence I've saved them all!


And fabulous things come inside....like amazing fabric remnants, and collage do-dads, and my favorite tea!

Wouldn't it be fun to zip around town on this? My son just restored this Vespa and someone already bought it. It's so cute! I wish it was mine, but that would mean getting my motorcycle license, helmet and all that....no time!

....this guy came into our lives. He was about two years old and a rescue from the Humane Society. Such a good day!

Blueberry pickin'

We are blessed with a u-pick blueberry farm right here on the Island. My friend and neighbor, Jane, and I went yesterday and came home with about eight pounds between us! I froze a lot for winter...to put on oatmeal and in muffins, but this morning they are going into pancakes! Yum!

I'm still here. Just super busy (and stressed). I did take time on Sunday evening to sit down by the beach just to breathe and ponder. I looked down and saw this lovely heart rock....sharing it with you. xo

Happy Bastille Day!

That's me on the right with my cousins Connie and Al on my first trip to Paris in 1988. I'll be celebrating Bastille Day with our two French interns at work today!

Sorry about the blogging absence. I've been busier than usual, but I see an end in sight. I'm hosting a party at my house later this afternoon and then it's back to a normal busy and more blogging.

Rotary Auction.

If you have never been to Rotary Auction on Bainbridge Island, it really should go on your bucket list. The Star Spangled Banner is sung at 8:00 a.m. and then the frenzy begins. Six hours later about $350,000 is in the bank! The clothing section is just one very small part of this auction and the only place I took pictures this year, but you can find lots of pics here on their Facebook page. Here's BEFORE and DURING.
