Hibernating.

This is the chalkboard that hangs at my front door. It sums up how I've been feeling these last few weeks. I'm not hibernating like a bear, but I am hunkered down, working hard (taxes, 40 hours/week at PP and filling orders for Joan of Cards :-))))), sleeping more and waiting for spring. Big news coming in March....I'm changing jobs. Will let you know more soon and I hope to get back to blogging....especially with more of my collections.

It wasn't even a whole day, but I changed my mind about the pink background....didn't love it.

It's February already...

I just got used to writing 2010. Can it really be February already? I'm ready for some fresh changes....hence my new pink background for the month. Tomorrow I'm off to the Northwest Flower and Garden Show for inspiration in the garden this year. I'll take my camera with me.

I hope it's starting to feel a little like spring wherever you are!

I just shared part of my stamp collection a few posts ago. Well, look what arrived in the mail at work....most of these are 13 centers from 1976! I love that someone used them 34 years later AND that they ended up in my hands :)

I just got my computer back from the repair shop last night! All seems to be working well, but all of my favorites have disappeared...all of the blogs I liked to follow. I guess I'll have to create a fresh list. I'll be visiting lots of your sidebars for good links. I'm off to work now, but can't wait to get back to posting! Love + peace, Joan

This is not good.

The screen one never wants to see....

It has been a not so good couple of days for me...computer crashed (I'm on my son's laptop now), the wind kicked up to 50 mph last night and we woke up to no power, I fell and sprained my knee and have been on the sofa for two days now. The good news is I watched the entire Golden Globes including the pre-show on E!, the computer is in the shop and the tech thinks we'll be able to recover all the files, my knee is feeling a bit better after really nursing it, and lastly, I am not in Haiti, nor have I ever come close to such devastation. It does really help to put things in perspective. I have so much to be grateful for and will never take these things for granted after watching the news coverage over the last week. My heart is very heavy right now.
