I won this fabulous print at a Friends of the Farms event raffle! It's by Joe Wirtheim....here's his website. I love it. It came framed by Roby King and it's already hanging in my kitchen. I never win anything...feeling so lucky!

25 years ago today!

Happy 75th Anniversary to the Golden Gate Bridge! I was there for the 50th along with a lot of other people, including my sister, Cathy, my friend, Cathy and my boyfriend at the time!

An afternoon in the garden...

Finally got my tomatoes in the ground....a little late. No actually, a lot late, but I'm hoping for a long hot summer.  Re-potted a few things and did lots of weeding too!  More tomorrow, but now I'm tired and filthy...need a shower and bed!

I've been trying to be better about taking my lunch to work...this sandwich makes it easy. Peanut butter, banana and honey on wheat! The only problem is that I usually eat it as a snack by 10 a.m.

I love this new quilt tissue box design from Kleenex and I could only find one on the shelf!

A friend sends this magazine to me from England and this latest issue arrived in my mailbox yesterday! I immediately sat down with a cup of tea and went cover to cover...a great transition into my weekend. If you get a chance, I think Barnes & Noble carries Selvedge.  It's a bit pricey, but pick it up and peak at it in the store...it's just fabulous! Enjoy your Saturday!  The sun is shining here...YES!

Mother's Day

The first calla lily and the first poppy opened yesterday for Mother's Day! Hope all you moms had a fabulous day! (That's 10 days earlier than last year for the poppy so says the blog post from 5-23-11.)

A walk at sunset...

The dog had already been walked so I went out by myself....sometimes nice to swing both arms, not have to pick up poop, etc. The sky changed every minute that I walked along...here are just three photos, but I just kept snapping. It was so beautiful.  Grateful to live in such a beautiful place, knowing it won't be forever.

Eagle Harbor, Bainbridge Island from the ferry on an overcast morning. I'm kinda jealous of my daughter who rows out here five days a week or more. Not so much when I think of the cold and wet, but it can be beautiful.
