Sixty-six years ago today Jackie Robinson debuted with the Brooklyn Dodgers as the first black player in the major leagues. I'm proud of the MLB for honoring him and retiring his #42 league-wide. He played his last game in 1956, but not before playing in six World Series and six All-Star games, winning Rookie of the Year and and an MVP award.
