New seats!

I've had these chairs forever and they've always had a vinyl covered seat....boring. My dear friend Patty was done with this fabulous fabric after she recovered a chair, so I inherited the rest. It was just enough to cover my six chairs. Aren't they fun?!

Photo booth.

Sally and I came across an old fashioned photo booth on Saturday in Port Townsend....at Sideshow Variety. Then I came across this old photo booth shot from 30 years ago! Same smile, but everything else has changed.....

24 hours in Port Townsend.

A quick little getaway with my friend Sally to celebrate our birthdays. Did lots of window shopping, lots of eating, and lots of relaxing. I highly recommend Summer House, Artisans on Taylor (which actually just moved to Water Street), the Courtyard Cafe, and the fabulous new Max Grover Gallery (he hasn't updated his website, but he's now at 630 Water St.).

A must for breakfast....the Salal Cafe. SO GOOD!

Eggnog season.

Guess what's in the grocery stores already? My diet is doomed.

I'm just back from a week-long trip to Southern California to help my dad after hip replacement surgery. He's doing really well I'm happy to report. I'm back to my full-time day job and trying to get caught up with Joan of Cards orders.....Halloween and Birthday mobiles in progress above.

Hello October.

Snapped these quickly with the iPhone this evening while watering after work. What a gorgeous evening. I just love this time of year with tomatoes ripening by the dozen, pumpkins almost ready, sunflowers following the sun with their faces, apples and pears looking oh so delicious.

I am one lucky girl. I have a friend in London that sends me the best, most gorgeous packages. The wrapping is a work of art....hence I've saved them all!


And fabulous things come inside....like amazing fabric remnants, and collage do-dads, and my favorite tea!

Wouldn't it be fun to zip around town on this? My son just restored this Vespa and someone already bought it. It's so cute! I wish it was mine, but that would mean getting my motorcycle license, helmet and all that....no time!
