Okay, I am pms'ing, but I've just seen the news and I'm sobbing. Deadly flash floods in Arkansas, a missing 7-year old in Portland and two 18-year olds killed in Seattle by a drunk driver days before their graduation. It could not be more depressing. My life is far from perfect, but I have so much to be grateful for AND I KNOW IT! My kids and husband drive me nuts on a daily basis, but I could not live without them. My house is falling apart, but I know how lucky I am to live where I do and be able to pay the mortgage. I am surrounded by the love of friends and family. And most of all, we all have our health. "Health is wealth" as my mother used to say.
Stay safe everyone and don't forget to tell those you love how much you love them.
I got out for a walk inbetween the thunderstorms last night and caught this stormy sunset. There was a spectacular rainbow too, but the iphone couldn't quite capture it and my camera is on the blink.

I picked up a fat quarter of this fun fabric at Quilted Strait and the more I look at it, the more I love it. I think I better head back to the shop for more!
Another heart rock walk on the beach. Some days there are so many...the days when I have no pockets of course. 
This wonderful tea set complete with teapot and four mugs all with covers was a gift from my friend Linda. She found it at Goodwill! Never used with the £ tags still on (and lots of tape). I love it, especially the shape of the teapot. Gotta go, I think it's time for a good cuppa....with toast.

Yesterday I was working in the garden on a gorgeous sunny morning, looked up and saw this! Time to go in. It's been rainy and windy since. Time to quilt.
