This is a leaf mobile that I made from felt! I saw something like it in a shop in Portland and made my own version. Views from inside and outside.

I took a wonderful TEXT ART & WORD COLLAGE class at Pratt in Seattle a couple of weeks ago. This is a box covered with old book pages, the bird was cut out of a magazine, I found the sticks in the parking lot, my daughter made the nest years ago, and the egg is really a rock from the beach.

I'm learning to carry my camera with me so I get more opportunities to snap 'em when I see 'em. This is the marina viewed from Waterfront Park on Bainbridge Island. The fall light was so beautiful even more beautiful than I could capture on film (??? on disk?).

My pumpkins didn't do so well this year so this is a photo from a couple of years ago. It was nice to come across this photo...I can see how much the lilac tree in the background has grown. I better get the pruners out or I'm going to have too much shade out in my raised beds.
We're having a sunny, crisp day here in the Pacific Northwest. It reminds me why I love this season so much.

My son is a freshman at Montana State University in Bozeman! It had been six weeks since he left home and I just had to make a visit. I must say he's adjusting quite well. It is scary sending your first born off into the big wide world. You immediately think of all the things you wish you'd taught them....like wash whites in hot, colors in warm and do not mix them! "Mom," he said "there are only two buttons on the machine...whites or darks."
Well, I had my mornings to myself. He and his roommate do not wake before noon on weekends. So I did lots of exploring around Bozeman, mostly on foot. I loved all the brick buildings, wide avenues, gorgeous trees, lots of independent coffee shops and bookstores, and the signs.
