First off, I cannot believe I haven't blogged in over three weeks. I almost forgot my password! Besides working full-time, I've been in quite a slump. The weather and especially the darkness here in the Pacific NW really gets me down this time of year...not to mention five different power outages this winter. I am starting to sense the days getting longer and I'm itching to get in the garden so I think I'm coming out of it. Although I'm cautious, snow is in the forecast this week!
On the bright side, we are so lucky to have so many authors and so many readers here who support our independent bookstores (even in Amazon's backyard). Last night I went to see Jonathan Evison at Eagle Harbor Books. I read his first book, "All About Lulu" a couple of weeks ago and loved it. I'm 1/4 of the way into "West of Here" and savoring every word. He's fabulous in person if you get a chance to see him...he's just starting a tour. And I highly recommend both books!
