Philly.

I took a 24-hour detour down to Philadelphia when I was on the east coast last week. My daughter's WWU crew team was invited to the Dad Vail regatta and it was purely coincidence that I got to be there. After Saturday's race I had a few hours in the fabulous Philadelphia Museum of Art.

The story goes that Philadelphia is the birthplace of rowing in the U.S.
and they take it very seriously. 

There wasn't much time for sightseeing, but after dinner we did walk around town a bit.

We saw the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall


We were looking for Ben Franklin's house, but just found this...
